About the Designer

Hello! My name is Natalie Monzon, and I’m a Graphic Designer & visual artist based in South Bay, CA.

I have a background in technical theater design, which has influenced my methods of work when it comes to Graphic Design & artwork in general. My skills as a story-teller have dominated my practice, with research and intention guiding my design work.

I work towards creating artwork that will ultimately serve the different communities I align myself with. This is why I also consider myself a “propagandist for the people”. Although the word propaganda is seen in a negative light by our society today, I’d like to deconstruct that word, and instead work towards highlighting the issues of human rights for all. This is quite different from propaganda for the sake of serving corporations and individuals. Instead, I work towards using art & design in a way that benefits the broadest range of people, in the most humanitarian sense.

An artist's duty, as far as I'm concerned, is to reflect the times.

Santuario

Light & Dark Rum

Spring 2025

Introducing Santuario, a luxury bespoke spirit that tells the story of two volcanoes on the largest lake in Central America, and finding sanctuary atop the altitude.

The rich volcanic soil at the base of Volcan Concepcion yields the best sugar cane harvest, where it is then transported to the Santuario, where all our rums are distilled and aged. Here is where the best rum in all of Central America is created.

K-Town: Neighborhood Booklet

Fall 2024

Experimental typography booklet based on my walk and experiences growing up in K-Town, LA.

International Solidarity

Polish-Inspired Poster Design

A poster promoting the idea of international solidarity, and emphasizing the importance of our collective responsibility to one another. It promotes our duty to stand in solidarity with progressive people’s movements around the world.
